“Get the fuck out of our Minneapolis. We don’t want you here,” said Mayor Jacob Frey at a press conference early this afternoon. His comment followed the shooting and murder of a 37 year old, white woman, and American citizen, who was allegedly blocking a street where ICE officers were operating. The Mayor said that the government is already trying to promote this as an “act of self-defense” for the ICE agent. “That is bullshit,” the Mayor said of the Trump administration that has become best known for its Scandal a Day regime.
A video of the murder that occured about 9:30 am was shown this afternoon on cable news repeatedly. It shows a black vehicle blocking a portion of a street in Minneapolis. An ICE agent approaches the vehicle occupied by the unarrmed white woman. He leaves the side of the vehicle and the women drives off – away from and in the opposite direction of the ICE officer. The ICE officer then gets off at least two shots at the vehicle – hitting her in the face – killing her. According to sources at the press conference this women who has not been identified was “not the subject of any law enforcement operation.” And she was an American citizen. But she is dead at the hands of an ICE agent.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem prematurely by any professional standard offered her description of the incident. She said it was an example of “domestic terrorism.” Noem said that the deceased women attacked the ICE agent. And then she tried to ram the ICE agent with her car. “See what ICE officers have to put up with every day?” she exclaimed. Keith Ellison, Attorney General for the state of Minnesota, has said the state will investigate the incident.
Two viewings of the video clearly show that the exact opposite of Secretary Noem’s lies are accurate. The incident today occurred about l/4 of a mile from where George Floyd was murdered on May 25, 2020,
A Congresswoman interviewed on MSNBC cable news said that ICE operations should “cease and desist its operations until we get to the bottom of this incident. I”m afraid we’ve been waiting for a tragedy like this to happen. It has.”
In his closing remarks at the press conference, Mayor Frey said he understood the anger of the community. But he said it’s an opportunity to unite with “hope, love, peace and justice.”
Around 3:30 pm., President Trump issued a statement supporting the ICE agent who needed to defend himself against the radical left wing. He said the ICE agent was injured and hospitalized. What??
Governor Tim Waltz urged citizens of Minneapolis to express their first amendment right of freedom of speech, but to do it in a peaceful way at a press conference held at 3:30 pm. He said he had contacted Secretary Kristi Noem, but not heard back from her. “I feel your anger. I’m angry. But we can not give them a show. We can’t give them what they want,” the Governor said emphatically. “We don’t need any help from the federal government. To Trump and Noem: you’ve done enough.” He urged his constituents not to give Trump a reason to send in more ICE agents because of the Insurrection Act of 1807.
“Have you no decency?” the Governor asked.. “Maybe this is a McCarthy moment.’
Late this afternoon she was identified as Renee Nicole Good – the mother of a six year old son and married.
