Winners in the Dog Costume Contest East Bayside Halloween Fest ARE:

Freddie, a 16 Year Old Mini-Poodle, Took First Place in the Moonday Coffee, Dog Costume Contest, that Occurred Yesterday.

Joey, a Six Year Old, Pitt Bull, Terrier and Lab Mix, Entered two of the Dog Costume Contests, as a Werewolf.

Bean, Dressed up as a Bee, With His Owners Dressed as Beekeepers, Took First Place at Rising Tide Brewing Company.

Two businesses participating in the East Bayside Halloween Fest to benefit the non-profit Maine Needs have reported their first place winners in their Dog Costume Contests this afternoon.  The event took place yesterday, Saturday, October 29, 2022.

From Moonday Coffee, Washington Avenue, co-owner David reports, that Freddie, a 16 year old mini poodle, dressed up as a Lamb, took first place in its Dog Costume Contest.  Freddie’s owners won a gift certificate to Moonday Coffee.

Rising Tide Brewing Company, conducted its second annual Dog Costume Contest yesterday.  The winner of this year’s contest is:  Bean, an almost two year old Pekingese, dressed up as a Bee.  His owners were dressed up as Beekeepers according to Julia from Rising Tide, at 103 Fox Street.  About twenty dogs participated in the Contest.  Winner Bean won:  a gift card, bag of treats, a MITA dog toy and a pint glass!

In addition, as reported herein previously on October 27,  Rising Tide donated $1.00 per pour to Maine Needs.  Julia reported this afternoon that 430 pints of beer were poured – with $430. to be donated to Maine Needs.

Maine Mead Works, 51 Washington Avenue, conducted its own “Any Pet Costume Contest,” according to its general manager on Friday.  However, it had not reported in the winner of their several Costume Contests at the time of this writing.  Joey, a six year old Rescued Dog, was entered into both the Rising Tide Brewing Company Contest as well as the Maine Mead Works Contest, as a Werewolf, according to his owner.   Adding the photo of Joey caused problems for the post format, but he was such a sweet dog that his photo had to be included, regardless.  Joey was this blogger’s First Place Winner!
