This Chair Was Provided for Senator Collins (R) at a Town Hall at the Portland Public Library in 2018, She was Invited But Never Showed Up.  The Event was Hosted by Sixteen Counties.  It Went on With a Large Turnout Asking Questions of an Empty Chair.  Were You There?

What is Senator Susan Collins campaign style?  Your guess is as good as anyones!  As best as can be guessed, she avoids public contact because she has famously not held a town hall since Bill Clinton was President.  Maybe the too long-time Senator from Caribou is afraid of germs.  Does she suffer from mysophobia?

More than likely though she is afraid to face public scrutiny from voters on her miserable voting record on behalf of Mainers.  Who wouldn’t be afraid to justify her support for Secretary RFK, Jr., for Kristi Noem, for OMB Director Russell Vought and all the other serious mistakes she has made on behalf of Mainers.   It goes back to her Supreme Court votes as well – Justice Kavanaugh.  His vote overtuned Roe v. Wade.

She feigns empathy for the chaos and illegal behavior her childish judgment has reigned down on Mainers and the country.  But when it comes to voting for these unqualified, misfits, she continues to support them with her votes.  After all as a DC staff member who hails from Falmouth  told this blogger last March 15th in a telephone chat, the Senator doesn’t need Town Halls because she has access to the local newspaper.  Oh, you mean the “Republican Press Herald,?” this blogger asked her.  The paper that doesn’t ask her any hard questions or follow up questions?  Silence.  Do you mean the newspaper that is so expensive that fewer and fewer  people subscsribe to it any more?   Silence.  A perfect Town Hall for her.

Senator Collins latest embarrassment and insult to Maine voters is her support for a Trump bill to suppress voters.  It is called the SAVE Act. It would require voter ID in order to vote.  And it would be a unique challenge for many married women to overcome in order to vote this year. Trump is so terrified of loosing the mid-terms as indicated by his tanking approval ratings that Collins has succumbed to his desperation to stay in power.  Collins’ list of embarrassment and insults is long and you all know it better than this blogger does.  Furthermore, the sensitive senator from Maine doesn’t want another tongue lashing from the Dictator.

But in a comparison of the campaign styles of two other candidates for the US Senate that appears in the local newspaper’s online “Daily Headlines” comparing the campaign styles in a gossipy,  putdown of them, there was no mention of the Collins’ campaign style.  Why you still ask?  She has no campaign style or campaign either.

Will tv’s Bill Green rush in at the last minute to save her re-election chances from herself as he did for her last re-election?  Or will Dictator Trump through an Executive Order federalize elections even though they are under the jurisdiction of states.
