Nex Benedict, in Whose Honor the Vigil & March is Held This Evening in Portland.

You are invited to participate in a Vigii & March on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at 6:30 pm starting at Congress Square Park, in downtown Portland.  The March continues down Congress Street to Portland City Hall wherre a Vigil will be held.

The purpose is to honor the memory of Nex Benedict, a nonbinary teenager from Oklahoma, who was killed for being trans.  This event is in solidarity with the Trans Advocacy Coalition of Oklahoma.  Bemedict died one day after a fight in the bathroom where the fight occurred.

Please dress warmly, bring candles, signs and wear a mask to prevent the spread of covid..
