For over an hour, Dictator Trump pissed off audiences around the world as he lied his way through a speech in which he often rewrote history in his own image. But he did make news when this land-grabbing dictator said he wants Greenland, and will not take it by force. “The US is the only country that can defend Greenland. We are more powerful than anyone knows,” he said. “We are asking for a piece of Greenland for protection, but NATO will not be there for us. Denmark has a choice. It can say ‘yes’ and we will be appreciative or ‘no’ and we will ‘remember.’
Also noteworthy was the dictator’s ongoing insistence that the 2020 election was “rigged.” “Those people will be criminally prosecuted,” he said. Perhaps a hint of more litigation to come by his DOJ, even though there is no evidence to support that lie of his.
Initially, his speech began as the dictator bragged about the amazing economy that he has built; incomes are rising, there is no inflation and the stock market has set 51 records. (He didn’t say whether they were upward or downward records – such as yesterday’s huge market loss.) He said that “people are ……….. very happy with me. Over a year ago, we were a dead country. Now we are the hottest country in the world.” The dictator said he had inherited a poor economy from “sleepy Joe Biden” – whom he called the worst president in the nation’s history – even though polls show that his economy approval ratings are in the toilets of Americans who now indicate that this economy is Trump’s disaster – not Biden’s.
Dictator Trump bragged about the precise military action that kidnapped Dictator Maduro from Venezuela. He stated that “all US oil” companies are going to Venezuela to resusotate the oil fields that have been ignored in recent years. The Dictator left out that the president of Exxon said at a meeting at the White House that investment in oil fields in Venezuela is a bad idea at this time because of the political instability there – who runs the country. Who knows?
The Dictator told a silent group of elite listeners that when he first fired bureucrats, they started off hating him. “but now they love me.” That’s because former federal workers have found jobs in the private sector. During this over an hour diatribe, there were no bursts of applause from the audience – cheering him on for the great job he is doing.
During his rambling remarks the Dictator questioned the value of NATO, although it has been the alliance that has checked the power of Putin since World War 11. He complained that the “US gives so much and gets so little in return.” He insulted present NATO leaders saying their policies were loosers. He specifically took direct aim at French President Macron for capitulating to him and for wearing sunglasses inside the Forum. The dictator made it clear that because of the might of the US military, a new realignment of US foreign policey is in place – to heck with what is right and has been for decades for the US.
As a cable news contributor said not too long ago: “Get Trump out of Don Jr.’s medicine cabinet.”
