Troy Jackson, the Democratic nominee for US Senate, has shored up support from key unions across Maine and the country according to a press release issued by his campaign staff late this afternoon.  The unions represent hundreds of workers across Maine who have seen Jdackson’s commitment to workers’ rights firsthand during his time as Senate President.

“I’m damn proud to have earned these endorsements from my union borthers and sisters.  For far too long workers have been getting screwed by Washington.  But the tide is turning and itd’s startding here in Maine,” said Jackson.  “As a longtime union member, I know what it’s like to be sold out by politicans and Susan Collins who side with corporations, not us. Let me be clear:  I will always have the back of working people whether it’s on the picket line, at the bargaining table, or in the United States Senate, because when workers stand together, we can’t – and won’t – be stopped.”

Jackson, a member of five different unons over the years, including UPAT, IUOE, UW, AM & LUNA, has been endorsed by more than 20 different unions as he runs for US Senate from Maine.
