Troy Connects with Public on MSNOW Cable This Morning

Troy Jackson, US Senate Candidate from Maine, Appeared on MSNOW Cable News on August 22, 2026.

While maintaining a lead in his race for the US Senate from Maine, Troy Jackson appeared briefly but effectively on MSNOW this morning in the 9:00 am hour.

When asked by the moderator what is different in the current race to defeat MAGA Member Susan Collins from past attempts, Troy answered: that this time she has voted for the Trump agenda 96% of the time.  That included voting to place Justice Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court.  Despite overwhelming opposition by her Maine constituents, she voted for him. That was the deciding vote that overturned Roe v. Wade, he told Jonathan Capehart, show moderator..She had promised in the past to protect women’s reproducive rights.

Earlier this year, MAGA Member Collins announced that the ICE surge in Maine had ended.  Based on  a report with then Secretary Noem, ICE has ended its enhanced activites in Maine Colloins claimed.  However, in a front page story in her mouthpiece, “Maine Sunday Telegram,” on August 16, Rachel Estabrook reported that ICE grew its “Maine  staff 44% in the past year.”  The same story reported that: “It is the first significant hiring growth in the state in at least a decade– and conducted without many of the typical avenues for recruitment.” As Chair of the Appropriations Committee, she could have stopped the surge of ICE agents in Maine – that led to the kllling of a Biddeford young father on July 13,2026 Troy reported.  A second promise broken by her.

Troy emphasized that he has never seen this kind of energy in a Maine political contest as he sees this time.  He said it’s because people are absolutely sick and tired of the Collins/Trump  partnership of broken promises that is making life for Mainers so much harder than it needs to be.  “It’s not about me or about Graham Platner,” Troy said.  “Something really important is happening here in Maine.  I’m glad to be part of it.”
