Taxi Driver Robbed & Uninjured on Munjoy Hill Last Night

A Portland taxi driver was robbed shortly after picking up two men in Monument Square and driving them to an address on Munjoy Hill last night.

The robbery occurred on January 27, 2019 at 7:55 pm when one of the males asked the 69-year old driver to stop the cab on Adams Street near Kellogg Street and then threatened him with a knife while demanding cash. The victim gave them an undisclosed amount of money before they fled on foot toward the Munjoy South apartments according to a press release from the Portland Police Department.

The driver was not injured.

The suspects were described as white males in their late 20s or early 30s, 5 – 10 to 6;00″ tall with medium length brown hair. One of the suspects was wearing a brown coat and the other was wearing dark colored clothing.
