After a string of commercial burglaries in Portland between February 18 – 26, 2023, police have arrested Jesse Howard, 31, who is suspected of burglarizing several downtown businesses. He was taken into custody by the South Portland Police Department on Monday evening and transported to the Cumberland County Jail.
At the time of his arrest, Howard was in possession of various items from the reported burglaries, as well as an undisclosed amount of money. He was charged with 4 counts of burglary, 6 counts of theft and 2 counts of criminal trespassing.
This is an ongoing investigation and the police department will not be sharing any further details at this time according to the press relese issued this afternoon.
