The Library Event was Hosted by the nonprofit “Sixteen Counties Coaltion.”

MHN.com is coming out of the mothballs temporarily  to tell you that in a contest that could determine the balance of power in the US Senate, tonight, Susan Collins will meet Troy Jackson in the first of a four-debate series.  The one hour debate is to be aired on local television, Channel 13 at 7:00 pm.

Exactly eight years ago, Collins voted to confirm Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who was instrumental in the US Supreme Court decision to end our federal right to abortion.  She has said publicly that she has “no regrets” for that vote. Collins must answer for her role in stripping reproductive freedom across the country according to a press release issued by Planned Parenthood late this morning.

The next debate between the two is set for Thursday, October 8, at 8:00 pm and will be hosted by WMTW.  There are two debates scheduled for local tv stations next week; one on Tuesday, October 13 at 7:00 pm and the other on Thursday, October 15, is scheduled for 8:00 pm.

Collins continues to avoid hosting town halls because she is afraid of public scrutiny such as her latest scandal with a convicted defense contractor.  HIs charges against Collins were based on written emails he possessed rather than yadda yadda yadda Collins claims.   She prefers to barricade herself in the comfortable pages of the “Republican Press Herald” where the reporters will not ask her any difficult questions she can’t handle because there are no creditable answers to her 96% support for the Corrupt Trump.
