The City’s Health Division has started a Moms in Recovery support group that will meet every Friday morning at The Salvation Army on Cumberland Avenue. The first meeting is this Friday, July 16th – from 11 am to 1 pm. The program is free and free on-site child care is provided.
This is a great opportunity for moms recoverying from alcohol/drug addicitions to connecdt with each other with similar experiences. It’s a chance to talk about life, recovery and what it means to be a sober parent in a safe space with other recovering parents.
If you would like to learn more, please contact Amanda, City of Portland Health Division, at (207) 756-8053. Please check it out – every Friday am!
