At approximately 4:35 am this morning high winds pushed a parked Southwet Airline Boeing 737Max8 aricraft into a jet bridge.  There were no passengers or crew on the aircraft at the time.  A bridge is the walkway from the terminal to the aircraft.

Portland Fire Department Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting units responded to the aircraft.  The leading edge of the left wing impacted the jet bridge.  Southwest Airlines maintenance personnel are responding.  Southwest is sending an additional aircraft to PWM to accommodate passengers according to Zachary R. Sundquist, AAE, IACE, Assistant Airport Director.
