Serious Falmouth House Fire Under Investigation by Maine State Fire Marshall’s Office

The Maine State Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating a residential fire that happened on Monday, November 17, 2025, at a home on Red Oak Drive in Falmouth.  The Fire Marshall’s Office was requested by the Falmouth Fire Department to respond to the scene.  Crews arrived around 4:11 pm to find the home fully engulfed.

No occupants were inside at the time and no injuries were reported.  Fire Marshal investigators spike with the individuals that had been staying at the residence.  They advised that an accidental fire had occurred earlier in the day while an electric space header was in use and that the fire ignited a couch.The occupants reported they believed hey had extingished the fire, but it appears to have rekindled after they left.

Due to the extent of the damage the fire is being classified as undetermined.  The investigation remains ongoing.  No further information is available atd this time.
