Senator Martin Heinrich Endorses Graham Platner for US Senate

Mainers Want Fresh New Faces to Repesent them in Washington, DC Such as Oyster Farmer and US Marine Vet Graham Platner

US Senator Martin Heinrich (D-NM) today endorsed Graham Platner in his campaign for Senate in Maine.

Graham Platner is focused on delivering for Mainers, not billionaire donors,” said Senator Martin Heinrich  “And he’s exactly the person the Democratic Party needs to win back working people.  Every day, Graham’s building a movement around the folks who work hard for their family and their community — folks who deserve a Senatdor that fights in their corner.  “That’s why I’m proud to endorse Graham and help send him to the Senate in November.’

“It’s an honor to have Senator Martin Heinrich’s endorsement,” said Graham Platner  “Senator Heinrich is the type of leader we need more of — someone who is a fierce defender of working people and isn’t afraid to take on the bilionaires and corporations who try to buy our elections.  I am proud to have him in this fight as we work to fiip Maine, bring new leadership to the Senate, and truly deliver for working families.”

A leading voice in the US Senate on clean energy and environmental policy, Heinrich’s endorsement adds to the growing national support behind Graham’s campaign as he looks to flip the Senate seat.  Henrich is the third US Senator to endorse Platner, following support from Senator Ruben Gallego and Bernie Sanders.

The endorsement comes the week of yet another poll that shows Graham ahead both in the primary and outperforming Governor Mlls in a head to head matchup with Senator Collins.  The new poll, conducted by Quantus Insights shows Platner leading Collins 48.6% to 41.8%, an almost 7-point advantage, while Mills trails Collins by close to 2%.  The poll is the fifth non-partisan poll in a row to show Platner running significantly stronger than Susan Colins.  It also reflects a broader trend across various independent polls:  that Platner is the strongest Democrat to take on Collins.

“Senator Susan Collins, 73,  is an incumbent ally of President Trump who must be defeated.  Governor Janet Mills, 78,  is the Lame Duck who is too moderate in her positions to win this seat,” claims this blogger.

Graham lives in Sullivan with his wife, Amy, just three doors down from the house where he grew up.
