Planting season is fast approaching and there’s no time like Saturday, May 17th  morning to restock  your inventory of seedlings and plants.  You can do this at the annual “Seedling and Plant Sale” hosted by the Munjoy Hill Neighbohood Organization, at 92 Congress Street, Portland.  The Sale runs from 8:00 am – noon.  The rain date is May 18th.  Same time.

At the sale you will find plants and seedlings donated by Hlll gardners and hyper-local products,  Local gardening experts will be on site to answer your questions.  All proceeds from the Sale benefit the MHNO building maintenance fund.

There is a frost advisory for late tonight until 6:00 am tomorrow in some parts of Maine.

In addition, if you are interested in participating in a neighbood-wide “yard sale trail” on Saturday, June 7th from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm please let the MHNO know of your interest. It’s an opportunity  to  learn of the details of the event.  The MHNO would like a $20. contribution to participate or else you can become a member at www.munjoyhill.org/join.  Take your pick!
