Last night Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows appeared on a MSNOW cable news segment regarding reports that Dictator Trump is trying to unilaterally rewrite election rules for the upcoming mid-term election and beyond. Secretary Bellows said that colleagues of hers will stand up and fight back against this illegal action of his should he follow through on this. “We’ll see him in court,” she said.
Michael Steele, one of the show moderators, said it will be interesting to see how far he will go on this to steel away rights of Maine voters. Secretary Bellows commented that the Trump administration is “terrified that it will get crushed in November. We are making plans to coordinate among ourselves.” Mr. Steele asked her if her Republican Secretaries of State are included in this planning? She responded that there is some “deep concern among Republicans” on the issue.
Secretary of State Bellows is a leading candidate to succeed Lame Duck Governor Janet Mills, 78, for that position later this year. This was not the first time that Secretary Bellows has appeared on the evening cable news; each time she has been impressive! Very articulate, knowledgeable and convincing.
