The ship carries 637 passengers and 74 of them have fallen ill during the eleven day cruise. The ship is scheduled to be in Portland from 11:00 am – 8:oo pm on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
According to the CDC, the norovirus is the leading cause of gastroenteritis, affecting 19 – 21 million individuals in the US annually. It is a short illness where most people recover fully within 1 – 3 days. It can be spread through contact with contaminated food, water or surfaces. Those sick with norovirus are encouraged to drink fluids and monitor for signs of dehydration.
