The public is invited to attend a peaceful gathering to oppose racism on Sunday, August 20th between 12:30 – 2:00 pm at Payson Park, 775 Baxter Boulevard, Portland according to a press release from the ACLU, host organization. There are numerous other organizations also supporting this event.
“It’s up to every one of us to fight for justice for all members of our community and to reject bigotry in all forms and locations,” the press release stated.
“There is no doubt that Twisted Trump is a racist. In the past he was sued for housing discrimination. More recently, he led a one-man “birther” fight against the presidency of President Barrack O’Bama,” munjoyhillnews.com
Please note that much of Baxter Boulevard is closed on Sundays from Vannah Street to Payson Park. One entrance to the small parking lots inside of the park expected to fill up quickly is via Ocean Avenue and the other is from Bates Street, off of Washington according to a press release issued today from Maine People’s Alliance, one of the many other non-profits hosting the event.
Portland needs to take a stand against Twisted Trump and his hateful message to our country and the world!
