Portlander Arrested for Criminally Threatening at City Hall Yesterday

Kevin Strachan, 55, a resident of Cumberland Avenue, was arrested late yesterday afternoon for verbally threatening staff at city hall.  Around 3:43 pm., Strachan entered the city manager’s office and threatened his staff.  He carried no weapon according to Lt. Robert Martin of the Portland Police Department.

Lt. Martin would not specify the nature of the threats nor what type of security system city hall maintains for such situations.

Strachan is at Cumberland County Jail on $310. cash bail.
