Late last night, Wayne Harwood, 25, of Portland, was seriously injured in a collision with a car on Cumberland Avenue.  Mr. Harwood was riding a skateboard when hit.  He is believed to have been entering Cumberland Avenue from Avon Street when he collided with a passing car.  The driver of the car fled and was last seen heading east on Cumberland toward High Street.

The car is described as a white sedan and should have damage to the passenger side.  Mr. Harwood is being treated at Maine Medical Center and has serious injuries.
