UPDATE:   This blogger met two people who knew the above victim, “Jack.”  They said all three of them lived at the Oxford Street Shelter.  They went up to Maine Medical Center this afternoon and were told they could not see him  – because only family can. But they did say that he has had a kidney and spleen removed today.  Jack’s lungs are collapsing and he is on life support.  “He was a good guy.  He was a Muslim.  He worked every single day, although the two did not know where he worked.  “Please pray for him,” they said.

If anyone has any information regarding this incident they are being asked to contact the Portland Police Department at 207 874-8575.
