On Sunday, August 11, 2024 at 6:10 pm., Portland Police responded to a serious motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Brighton Avenue and Raymond Road.

A 16-year old male was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Brighton Avenue, when for an unknown reason he left the roadway striking a tree.  Bystanders stopped and rendered aid until Police and paramedics arrived.  The victim was transported to Maine Medical Center with serious injuries.

The Portand Police Department is investigating the accident and no charges have been filed at this time.
