On Thursday, October 14, 2021, at about 12:35 pm, Portland Police Officers responded to a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of Falmouth Street and Forest Avenue.  The suspect who fled, Jamie Mondragon (01-09-81) of Limington, was located a short time later on Fessenden Street.  As officers took Mondragon into custody, be grabbed the throat of an officer.  Mondragon was charged with Assault on a Police Officer (Class C), Driving to Endanger (Class D) and a probation violation and was transported to Two Bridges Jail in Wiscasset.
