On Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 9:15 pm., Portland Police responded to a serious motor vehicle accident in the area of Forest Avenue and Walton Avenue.  A 57 year old Portland man was in the roadway when he was struck by a car driven by a 22 year old South Portland woman.  As the driver of the car attempted to render aid, the man was struck by a second vehicle driven by a 62 year old Portland man.

The victim was transported to Maine Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Portland Police and its Crash Reconstruction team are investigating the incident and no charges have been filed at this time.
