A Yellow Zone parking ban for Portland has been declared for tonight, December 27th.  It starts at 10 pm and ends at 6 am tomorrow morning, December  28th.  During this ban, all vehciles left on city streets within the Zone will be towed at the owner’s expense.  City and school lots designated for parking ban parking are open to residents all day today.  Vehicles can be left in these lots until tomorrow morning at 7 am.  Due to continuing snowfall, Public Service crews ask that residents minimize driving within the city as much as possible today and to the extent possible  park off street to allow for snow removal.

The Old Port area will receive additional parking tonight during the Yellow Ban.

Vehicles will be towed to the city’s impound lot located at the Ocean Gaeway Inernational Marine Terinal at 40 Comercial Street (phone number 774-3025).
