Portland Announces Additional CDBG Funds Disbursement by City Manager

The city of Portland just announced that it has received an additional $150,457. in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) federal funding than it expected for FY 19.  The city is including the following items proportionally according to the city’s spokeswoman, Jessica Grondin.

PLANNING & ADMINISTRATION – $30,091.

*DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES – Preble Street Corridor Project, $70,715.

SOCIAL SERVICES – Catherine Morrill, $8,460; City of Portland Mobile Medical Outreach, $4,128; Amistad and Portland Downtown, $6,345, Catholic Charities & ILAP, $6,345; Milestone HOME Team, $14,000.; Preble Street Resource Center, $3,167; City of Portland – Housing Services, $7,205.

  • The Preble Street Corridor Project will design and construct approximately 750 linear feet of concrete sidewalk.  The improved segments are between Lancaster Street and Cumberland Avenue.  It is part of the 2018-2019 Preble Street Sewer Separation Project, funded through local, state and private utility funds.
