Mainers Want Fresh New Faces to Repesent them in Washington, DC Such as Oyster Farmer and US Marine Vet Graham Platner
This week, two new independent polls showed Graham out performing Governor Mills in head-to-head matchups against Senator Susan Collins. In a Quantus Insights Survery, Graham leads Collins 49% to 42%, a 7-point advantage. In the same poll, Governor Mills trails Collins 45% to 43%. And a poll from On Message Public Strategies found that Graham leads Collins by 2 points (44% to 42%).
These polls reinforce a reality that the DC establishment refuses to believe: Graham Platner is the most electable Democat in the field – and Democrats’ best bet to defeat Susan Collins.
With these two new polls, now six consecutive independent polls have shown Graham as the stronger candidate in the general election. All six show Platner performing better than Mills in head-to-heads against Senator Collins.
Last week’s Pan Atlantic Poll showed Graham leading Collins by 4 points while Mills was tied with Collins. It also found a 17-point swing in Graham’s directdion in the primary matchup against Mills, compared to Pan Atlantic’s December poll.
A University of New Hampshire Poll found Platner up 11 points on Collins (49% to 38%) with Mills leading Colllins by only 1 point (41% to 40%).
Pan Atlantic’s December Poll found Platner leading Collins by 1 point (43% to 42%) with Mills tied against Collins (43% to 43%).
Maine People’s Resource Center Poll had Platner leading Collins by 4 points (45% to 41%) and Mills trailing Collins by 4 points (46% to 42%).
The BOTTOM LINE: Across all six independent polls, Platner either leads Collins outright or runs significantly ahead of other Democrats tested in the same surveys.
