On Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 1:03 am., Portland Police responded to Amigos Mexican Restaurant and Bar, 9 Dana Street, in the Old Port for reports of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers determined that an altercation had occurred outside the establishment, during which a 32 year old male was shot in the leg.  He was transported to Maine Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate a suspect.  Witnesses described the suspect as a white male in his 20s, approximately 5’5″ to 5’8″ tall, with a scruffy beard, weaaring jeans and a gray hoodie.
