Graham Platner, Democratic US Senate Candidate from Maine on MSNBC Cable News — in late April 2026. He is a Well-Read History Buff, as well as Vet ad Oyster Farmer, in Sullivan. Also a Red Sox Fan!
Yesterday, during the Red Sox game, Graham Platner’s campaign began airing “The Curse,” a new ad calling out private equity’s role in buying up our homes, our communities and running the Red Sox into the ground.
After running for part of the game, the ad was pulled from the station’s airwaves. The station is owned by Red Sox ownership.
Shortly after, the Red Sox turned a 4 – 0 lead into an 8 – 6 loss to the Twins.
In response, Graham Platner released the following statement:
“Private equity is buying up our homes, our communities and now even our sports teams. They’ve taken the Red Sox from one of the greatest teams in history just eight years ago and run it straight into the ground just to make another buck.
“We ran an ad during last night’s Red Sox game exposing how private equity is making everything in our lives worse and it got pulled midway through the game by a station owned by Red Sox ownership. And of course, the Red Sox blew a 4 – 0 lead to lose the game.
“Mainers are done standing by while billionaires, corporations and private equity firms buy up our homes and local businesses, and now our sports teams, stripping them for parts so a handful of wealthy investors can buy another yacht and bankroll more politicias like Susan Collins.”
Graham lives in Sullivan with his wife, Amy, just three doors down from the house where he grew up.

A poll released today shows that Trump’s approval rating has declined to 29%. It may be a reflection of his interest in his ballroom, his War on Iran and his latest scandal – the almost $1.8 billion slush fund created to benefit Trump’s allies who believe they were mistreated by the Biden administration, etc., etc.
