Come to First Parish’s first concert of the season featuring seven gifted students from the USM studio of Laura Kargul!  The concert is tonight, Friday, November 6 at 7:30 pm at 415 Congress Street, Portland.

The tradition of virtuoso piano playing dates back to the 1800s, when celebrity pianists like Frank Liszt dazzled with their technical prowess.  Seven students will continue this tradition by presenting a concert of virtuoso piano music including works by Chopin, Debussy, Ravel and Liszt.  Laura Kargul currently serves as the director of keyboard studies at USM.

The students are: Nell Britton, Tina Davis, Anna Gauthier, Derek Herzer, Angela Olszta, Jonathan Prak and Amanda Raymond.

Tickets are available at the door for $10., $5. for students/seniors or online on our website.  FMI, please talk to our music director,Mark Rossnagel, musicdirector@firstparishportland.org Purchase tickets at the door or at firstparishportland.org
