The New England Patriots are returning to the Super Bowl  following an amazing season that was really hard to believe at times.  The Pats defeated the Denver Broncos 10 – 7 at Mile High Stadium in Denver.   Both teams had such strong defenses that the offenses were held to small gains.  For the Patriots it was 106 yards in offense; for Denver the offense gained 181 yards. QB Maye ran for the Patriots only touchdown; and yielding 68 yards of their offense.  Both defenses outplayed themselves in todays game.

The Patriots were the first team to win 9 games on the road – including todays game played in a loud Denver stadium.

Coach Mike Vrabel who won Super Bowl rings as a player for the Patriots would be the first to win a Super Bowl as a coach for the same franhise – if they win the game in two weeks in Santa Clara, Calironia, on Sunday, February 8th.  (This blogger knows the date because it is my brother’s birthday as well, but he’s not a Patriot’s fan because he lives in New York State.)

As a teenager ten years ago, QB Drake Maye with his father, watched a football game at the same stadium in California. At the age of 23, Drake Maye is the second youngest  to start in a Super Bowl game;  It has come full circle for him — and at an early age.

The Super Bowl will be played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California and in the San Francisco Bay Area.  The Patriots will be playing the Seatt;e Seahawks.

GO PATS!
