Due to a police incident, the Piscataqua River Bridge is closed and I-95 is shut down in both directions according to a report from the Maine State Police sent at 5:00 am this mornng.  Northbound traffic from New Hampshire into Maine is completely blocked and southbound traffic is being directed to exit 2 in Kitdtery.

Please avoid the area and  seek alternate routes if possible.  The duration of the closure is unknown at this time.  Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
