There appears to be some confusion among some as to the parking situation for Islanders at the Ocean Gateway Parking Garage on Fore Street. Recently twenty (20) Islanders were told they only had a few days left to use the Garage and after that -they would not be allowed back into it. Following is a statement from the city’s spokeswoman, Jessica Grondin, on the subject:

“Our legal team is still researching the prior agreement – however, we were told by Unified Parking Partners, “UPP” that they were inviting everyone back who was told they had to leave. If anyone has not heard from Unified yet they should contact them ASAP.”
