The public is invited to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony for the North Deering Park  set for Thursday, September 21 at 4:30 pm.  The brief ceremony will be followed by a guided walk of the property – Ballpark Drive.

In June of 2023, the city of Portland announced the acquisition of 24 acres of land to create a new city-owned Park.  The Park has an existing sports field, pond, forested areas and well-loved informal trails.

The North Deerig Park is within close proximity to Lyseth Elementary School and Lyman Moore Middle School.
