No Survivors in Midair Collision at Reagan National Airport; Trump Blames Biden DEI Policies for Crash

There are no survivors of the midair collision last night between a Military Helicopter and an American Airlines commercial flight at Reagan National Airport, in Washington, DC. . Sixty-seven people were involved in the collision that occured last night just before 9:00 pm.  There were 64 people aboard the commercial flight and three crew members on the Black Hawk Helicopter.  There are no survivors it was announced early this morning.

Earlier this morning a press conference was held during which it was stated that the search has changed from rescue into recovery mode.  As of this morning 28 bodies have been recovered from the American Airlines plane that plunged into the icy waters of the Potomac River that borders the Airport.  The busy airport is currently closed and is expected to reopen at 11:00 am this morning.  Investigators are looking for the black box aboad the commercial flight, although it is reported there is not a black box aboard the Black Hawk helicopter.

Newly appointed Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has issued a brief statement in which he said the helicopter was participating in an annual proficiency training project at the time of the collision.

This airport is known to be very busy and is a challenging one to fly into. according to experts  It can require special training to fly in to it.  In recent years, there has been more demand to use this airport.  One of the challenges is that the runways are shorter than at other  airports in the country.

It has been reported this morning that Elon Musk pushed FAA Chief Michael Whitaker from his post just 10 days before the midair collision last night in DC.  Musk had demanded that Whitaker step down after Whitaker proposed more than $600,000. in safety fines for Space X- Musk’s aerospace firm.  Whitaker announced he would step down after CF was Inaugurated.  That has left the FAA without a leader confirmed by the Senate.

Furthermore, In a televised appearance from the White House press room this morning, President Trump blamed DEI policies for the midair collilsion last night in DC.  He blamed Democrats in the Biden administration, including the FAA,  for its diversity program that caused the collission.  When asked what proof he had of that claim, CF reponded:  “Common sense.” Former Transportation Secreretary Pete Buttigieg wasted no time in responding to CF’s malicious claims.  Buttigieg called CF’s misinformation “despicable” and called on him to “lead not lie” during this tragedy.

Six members of the figure skating community from the Skating Club of Boston were on this flight from Wichita, Kansas from where the flight originated.  They had attended a National Development Camp in Wichita. The flight included two coaches and mothers of the skaters.There were fourteen members of the figure skating community on the flight.

“On a personal note, years ago this blogger lived in an apartment turned condo building in A;examdria Va.next to the Airport.  It’s located on the Potomac River on the George Washington River Parkway. This tragedy brings back memories.”

The NTSB is in charge of the investigation of the collision. Fortunately, the NTSB investigation conclusions will be fact based, rather than the ignorant and disgusting politicizing of Convicted Felon Trump.
