Mainers Want Fresh New Faces to Repesent them in Washington, DC Such as Oyster Farmer and US Marine Vet Graham Platner, 41.  As a US Marine, Graham was deployed to Iraq Three Times.  As a Member of the National Guard, he was Deployed to Afghanistan.

Graham Platner’s campaign for US Senate will go on air Wednesday with a new TV ad titled, “Veterans.”  The ad features three veterans sharing a personal message about service, sacrifice and why they are supporting Graham Platner.  Maine is home to one of the largest veteran populations per capita in America.  The 30-second spot will eventually air statewide.

The spot features veterans speaking candidly about the challenges they faced when returning home.  “I know what it feels like to give everything to this country and then to come back home and feel like it’s not giving anything back,” the veterans say in the ad.

They continue:  “Most politicians don’t know anything about service.  Graham Platner does, that’s why I’m with the veteran who came back home.”

Last month, Graham Platner announced his campaign will stay on the air through the primary, which is made possible by more than $8 million raised since launching in August — the vast majority from grassroots, small-dollar donors.

Graham lives in Sullivan with his wife, Amy, just three doors down from the house where he grew up.
