The public is invited to attend a city required neighborhood meeting on the proposed text amendment that would permit the construction of a 70 ft. high warehouse rather than a 45 ft. warehouse on West Commercial Street. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 3rd from 5:30 – 6:30 pm at Reiche School,166 Brackett Street on the West End of Portland.
Waterfront coordinator for Portland, Bill Needelman, is looking for input on three potential options to allow building heights to increase to 70 ft. The meeting is prompted by the city’s desire to develope a warehouse and to promote other port related developments according to the city’s website.
For more information, please contact Needelman a (207) 874-8722 or a wbn@portlandmaine.gov
