The public is invited to attend a public meeting on Wednesday, April 24 at 5:30 pm.  The meeting will take place at the Solterra Community Room, 58 Boyd Street in Kennedy Park on the east end of Portland.

The purpose is to discuss the redevelopment plans for new housing and resident services, including the construction of a new 6-story building with 50 residential units and site improvements according to a press release received LATE this afternoon from the City of Portland.  The applicants are Portland Housing Authority and Portland Housing Development Corporation.

The notice from the city for the meeting on Wednesday, April 24 was received LATE this afternoon.  “Why do  you suppose the city has given so much notice of the meeting?” asked this blogger sarcastically.  “Maybe the developer is hoping that no one shows up,” this blogger responded to herself.

If you have questions, please call Sarah Tatarczck at  207 – 221-8034.  The city notice does not say who she is or for whom she works.
