The Holilday Tree in Monument Square to be Lit on Friday, November 29 at 4:30 pm.

You are invited to attend the annual Monument Square Tree Lighting on Friday, November 29th.  The event starts at 1;00 pm and concludes with the ceremonial  tree lighting at 4:30 pm.

The 40 ft. Blue Spruce tree was located at 153 Hartley Street and transported to Monument Square on Wednesday of this week.

At 3:30 pm., there will be a live dance performance by Portland Ballet, and a special musical performance by Julia Gagnon, Season 22 American Idol top 7 Finalist.

At 1:30 pm., there will be a presentation of Disney’s “Frozen Watch Party.”   It is recomnended that you  dress for the weather and bring your own chair!

Hot cocoa will be provided at the Portland Public Library until it closes at 5:00 pm.
