Peter Bass, Real Estate Developer for Marquis Lofts on Munjoy Hill

Neighbors are  invited to attend a planning board meeting on the final subdivision and site plan for the Marquis Lofts, 33-35 Lafayette Street,  tomorrow, Tuesday, February 11th at 7:00 pm.  The meeting will be held in Room 209 of the City Hall.  The applicant is Hill resident Peter Bass, of Random Orbit.  Public comment is welcome.

The planning board will vote on a proposal to demolish the single story former church at this site and construct a building to include 6 residential units on 3 floors above ground level with parking for 6 vehicles.  The site has 6.139 sq. ft. and is located in a Residential R-6 zone.  No variances are being requested by Bass.

Neighbors testified at the December 17th, 2013 planning board meeting about concerns on parking in the area as well as the massiveness of the building.  Since that meeting, changes to the application have been made and may be seen on-line.
