On Monday, December 19, Portland officers with the US Marshall violent crimes tdask force along with State and local agencies in Massachusetts arrested Hamza Hdassan, 46-year-old for the July 4th shooting in the Kennedy Park housing complex in the east end of Portland.

Portland Police Officers obtained an arrestg warrant for Hassan charging him with elevated aggravated assault and reckless conduct for the shooting incident and worked with State and Federal agencies to bring him into custody.

The press release issued late this afternoon did not indicate where the arrested man is from – Maine or Massachusetts – and where he is being held in custody.
