A New Logo for the Maine Wildlife Park, Gray, is Above.

A sure sign that spring is here is the opening of the popular Maine Wildlife Park, 56 Game Farm Road, Gray, tomorrow Tuesday, April 15th for the 2025 season.

The animals are ready to come out of their winter habitats and welcome you for the upcoming season.  There are more than 30 species of Maine wildlife to watch and photograph in the Park.  There is also space to have a picnic, feed the fish in the hatchery and  enjoy the beautiful gardens.  Near completion is a new entrance to the Park.  Throughout the upcoming season, Park employees will be updating educational signs and making other changes to enhance your learning experience.

“This is simply one of my favorite places in Maine –  from the huge deer pen to the moose fields and bear enclosure and in between. The Park is owned and operated as a wildlife education center by Maine Department of Inland Fisheries.  Unlike a zoo, the Park does not feature exotic species from outside our state, or breed wildlife in captivity.  The Park provides a permanent home for Maine wildlife that are unable to survive in the wild after being injured, orphaned, or raised sometimes illegally, in captivity.  They are here for their protection………”
