A Seal Found on a Scarborough Beach Last Year Has Been Nursed Back to Health by this nonprofit.

Marine Mammals of Maine, a non-profit located in Brunswick, has issued an urgent request to help restock its shelves that have been emptied by recent and current patients requiring intense care to help them recover.

The non-profit responds to stranded marine mammals and sea turtles in southern and midcoast Maine, cares for sick, injured and abandoned seals from all over New England, studies East coast marine mammals popu;ations and educates about global marine mammal conservation according to its web page.

Currently, the non-profit is caring for a 5 foot, 190 lb. adult harp seal that is recovering at the Center.

The Wish List for the non-profit is long and includes:  Laundry Detergent Sheets, distilled water, Clorox bleach,  hoses, 13-gallon drawstring tall kitchen bags, Simple Green and paper towels.
