Lewiston Man on “Supervised Release” Arrested for Drug Trafficking, Etc.

On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, agents from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and Lewiston Police Department assisted with a probation compliance check for Steven Braggs, of Lewiston, who was on “supervised release,” as part of a 2015 federal sentence for the charge of “felon in possession of a firearm.”

Braggs was contacted at a Lewiston hotel where 100 grams of cocaine were found in his possession.  Braggs was arrested without incident and transported to the Androscoggin Jail where no bail was set due to a probation hold.

Subsequent to Braggs arrest, agents drafted and were granted a search warrant for Braggs residence at 114 Wellman Street, Lewiston.  A search resulted in the seizure of cocaine, trafficking materials and $25,300. in suspected drug proceeds.
