A  male, in his twenties or thirties, is being sought for the robbery this morning of Key Bank, 400 Forest Avenue.  At approximately 10:30 am the white male entered the Bank and gave the teller a note demanding money.  The suspect did not appear to be armed with a weapon.  The suspect then left the Bank with an  undisclosed amount of cash.  The male exited the Bank and fled on foot inbound on Forest Avenue.  The suspect is approximately 5’9″ tall with a medium build.  He was wearing a yellow traffic vest with the words “Maine Works” on the back.  He was also wearing a light gray zip-up  hooded sweatshirt under the vest. The suspect was wearing a dark colored hat and sunglasses and was carrying a  yellow hard hat.  He may have been seen entering the Tru-Choice Credit Union on Park Avenue and the C-Port Union on Forest Avenue before robbing the Key Bank, according to a press release issued by the Portland Police Department this afternoon.

This comes on the heels of another Bank robbery, TD Bank, on 9/21/13 also on Forest Avenue.  The robber in that situation was arrested.

The Portland Police are asking anyone with information about this robbery to contact it at 874-8575.
