On Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 11:15 am., Portland Police responded to the Kennebec Savings Bank at 53 Baxter Boulevard for a report of a robbery.  The suspect entered the Bank and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash fleeing towards Baxter Boulevard and the Pedro Little League Field.  No weapon was observed during the robbery.

The suspect is a white male with brown hair, gray hooded sweashirt, navy blue jeans, blue latex gloves, blue Carhart baseball hat and light brown boots, who was wearing a blue neck gaiter and sunglasses.  The South Portland Police Department provided K9 support to track the suspect.  Officers, assisted by the K9 units, conducted an extensive search of the area, but have yet to locate the suspect..

This marks the second bank robbery in the last four days as the Bangor Savings Bank at 1071 Brighton Avenue was robbed on Saturday, August 6, 2025.  Police will not comment at this time if they believe the two cases are related.
