Today, December 12, 2025, at about 12:27 pm., Portland Police received a report of possible human remains locaed in a tent within the Fore River Sanactury off Rand  Road.  Upon arrival, officers oud a camping tent containing human remains that appeared to have been there for a significant amount of time.

At this time, the death does not appear suspicious.  The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.  Police are working to identify the deceased.
