The Portland International Jetport is providing the following information in advance of the Thanksgiving travel period:

For the ten day travel period from Novemer 23 – December 2, the Jetport has 70,706 seats available.  This is an increase of 11.5% from the same ten day period last year (November 24 – December 3, 2024).  Sunday, November 30 is expected to be the businest day of travel at the Jetport during this holiday peak, but will still be under a normal July day.

Passenger should plan to arrive at the Jetport at least 90 minutes before their scheduled departure.  Passengers without a real ID should leave an additional 30 minutes to clear TSA.  Passengers are also reminded that gifts may be searched by TSA so wrapping is not suggested until you reach your final destination.

During this busy period, parking will be extremely limited.  Passengers in the immediate Portland metro area are asked to consider being dropped off by friends or loved ones, using Metro, Uber or Taxis.  Those driving to the airport should rexpect to be diverted to overflow lots and shuttled to the airport.  If you are driving we recommend leaving an additional 30 minutes to accommodate bering directed to off-site parking and shudttle operations.  Those being picked up/dropped off are reminded that the short term garage is free for the first hour.

Please use the garage and avoid leaving your car unattended on the curb while greeting family and friends.
