King Trump’s Empty Chair at Climate Change Meeting at G7 Meeting. Is That Because He Knows More Than Anyone Else About the Environment?
YOU are invited to attend a free forum on Thursday, September 5, 6:00 pm at the Mayo Street Arts, 10 Mayo Street, Portland on the impact on historic resources by the increasing challenges of climate change on our neighborhoods. The event is sponsored by Greater Portland Landmarks.
Juie Larry, Director of Advocacy, for the non-profit will give the talk.
Part of her talk is based upon a survey that was conducted this summer to document historic structures that will be impacted by climate change. Bayside is clearly threatened by the impacts of climate change. This is the first such survey to be conducted on the subject.
College interns conducted the survey this summer. It was funded by the National Parks Services Historic Preservation Fund.
Registration is strongly recommended at portlandlandmarks.org
For more background information on the subject, please see post herein dated July 22, 2019.
