Governor Janet T. Mills (D) announced early this evening that State of Maine offices in Cumberland and York counties will reopen tomorrow, Wednesday, December 20, at 10:00 am.
State offices in Maine’s 14 other counties will remain closed tomorrow as roadways and flooding pose hazardous conditions in areas and as power restoration, debris clean up and infrastucture assessment and repair efforts continue.
“I continue to strongly urge Maine people in areas that are heavily impacted to not travel if possible and to heed the advice and warnings of local emergeny response officials,” said Governor Miils. “We will continue to clearly follow the ongoing impacts of this storm and adapt as needed, with the goal of opening Maine offices as appropriate and as soon as possible, to ensre that Maine State government is able to serve the needs of Maine people during this difficult time.”
